These paddleboarding waterproof drysuit rousers create a near on fully waterproof fit when teamed with a twin waisted jacket
Simple, comfortable protection for adventures on the water. The Zenith pants drysuit trouser have comfortable neoprene ankle gaskets and a waist, and the twin waist makes a great seal with your jacket. They are cut to minimise the number of seams, and Palm have added reinforced panels to protect high-wear areas.
These Palm twin waist dry trousers can be twinned with any twin waist jacket to allow for an 'almost' dry fit when falling in.
At SUP inflatables we specifically pick out products and brands that are perfect for paddle boarding, trialling and testing everything ourselves to seek out what's perfect and what the limitations are on each product.
The reason we have chosen the Palm Zenith pants (as well as the Yak Chinook pants) is these trousers are really comfortable with the right cut through the trousers for getting on and off your board, bending and kneeling, as well as standing for long periods of time.. but very critically these pants DO NOT have a boot/sock. After extensive testing and chatting to other paddle boarders, we find that pants with socks attached do keep the water out, but as these socks are not designed for each size of foot, they are very uncomfortable to stand on (so they seem to work for kayakers who are mostly sat down) but for paddle boarders there is too much fabric around the foot and this is uncomfortable and also causes it own instability issues. To get around this problem of cold, wet feet, which is certainly not ideal, we suggest the pant is teamed with a waterproof sock, (we have chosen the Showerpass brand for it's durability and fit). By placing the sock on first, and then the trouser, the trouser cuff seals the bottom and keeps the foot warm and dry. To keep this option durable and comfortable, a low profile trainer or neoprene boot is worn on top of the sock.
